Fuel consumption of the HONDA Civic 1.5 Lsi and 1.5 Vei.

for people who are interested to know 'real life' fuel consumption data of the Honda Civic 1.5 Lsi and 1.5 Vei, I am presenting you below chart. First some background information about the cars:

• Below shown Honda Civic 1.5 Lsi was build in 1995. I got the car from the first owner with 92.000km in May 2005. Right now the car did run 172.000 km (August 2008). Except from the ignition module I did not had any special maintenance. The weakest points I am experiencing are the jamming electric windows and some rust on the rear body parts. Most I do like the open roof and the engine, which is powerfull and smoothly running over the entire speed range.

• The Honda Civic 1.5 Vei was build in 1992. This Civic I imported with 98.000 km in March 2008 from a German car trader. According to the service manual I am the third owner. The car is well conserved, it looks like it has been parked in a garage for most of its life. As it is painted metallic it was lucky to get blank lack on, which conserved it even better. Weak points I experienced so far are the noisy engine (also at idling). There is some vtec rattle audible. Strong part of this car definitely is the fuel consumption.

Below chart is based on the following trips:

The 1.5 Lsi was driven from Amsterdam to Innsbruck and back. The majority of the speeds vary between 90 and 130 km/h. The complete trip mileage was 2444 km.

The 1.5 Vei was driven from Amsterdam to Trondheim and back. The majority of the driven speeds vary between 60 and 110 km/h. The complete trip mileage was 5551 km.
